All the designs featured on this page were designed during 2011/12 whilst studying towards a Diploma in Graphic Design at CPUT, in Cape Town.

World War II Poster

Below is a poster for a WWII movie festival. The artwork is hand rendered in gouache paint and features the iconic image of American soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima.

Conqueror Poster

This poster was created for an international design competition for Conqueror Paper. The tag line was supplied and required an sports or Olympic theme.

All Gold Jam Promo

The poster below was designed for the promotion of All Gold Jam. The idea was to place the product in an environment that made it treasured.

All Gold Jam Exquisite Corpse

This design is a composite image of all the products and things that the man depicted may like. The artwork is made up over a thousand separate images deep-etched and layered in PhotoShop CS6.

Manchester United Paper Toy

This toy was designed to be cut out of a single A3 print. The pieces are then folded appropriately and glued in place. A preview of the completed toy is shown at the bottom right. This toy was designed using a combined brand identity of Manchester United, Nike and Pepsi.

McDonalds Paper Toy

This toy was designed to be cut out of a single A3 print. The pieces are then folded appropriately and glued in place. A preview of the completed toy is shown at the bottom right. This particular toy is styled as a super-hero using the brand identity of McDonalds fast food chain.

Champion Chips

This logo was designed for a Pop-Up store which I named Champion Chips. I used complimentary colours that yield a legible and iconic retail identity.

Foschini Gift Cards

Below is a set of four gift cards designed for the Foschini Group. The categories are (from top-left, clockwise) Male, Female, Congratulations and Romance. Each card has a photograhic element designed for each category.

Foschini Male Gift Card

This is the male gift card from a set of four Foschini gift cards. The image shows a wooden toy train set, with a red ribbon on it, amongst a few white gift boxes. The scene is set in a bright green environment.

Foschini Female Gift Card

This is the female gift card from a set of four Foschini gift cards. The image shows a glass heel reminiscent of the story of Cinderella amongst a few white gift boxes. The magenta background appeals to the target market.

Foschini Congratulations Gift Card

This is the congratulatory gift card from a set of four Foschini gift cards. The image shows a gold trophy amongst a few white gift boxes. It is covered in colourful streamers and is set on a bright yellow background.

Foschini Romance Gift Card

This is the romance gift card from a set of four Foschini gift cards. The image shows a two chocolate candies wrapped in red foil. The two chocolates snuggle together amongst a few white gift boxes. The objects are set on a vibrant pink background.

Woolworths - Argetinean Asado

This is a product box design for Argentinean Asado spice mix from Woolworths. The box design comprises of a grunge treatment of the flag of Argentina. The back of the box has a recipe and shopping list.
